Teacher Amanda has been an assistant float teacher, working in all classrooms and age groups at PELC! She says she loves that she can learn from children just like they learn from her. In her free time, Amanda enjoys photography, reading, and doing puzzles! 

Teacher Jay has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho, and has worked with children in a multitude of settings from infancy through 4th grade. Jay says it is important to her that every child she works with is safe and has the resources they need to develop into their own person. 


Jay and her husband are reptile enthusiasts, and recently adopted a ball python! They hope to someday expand their exotic pet collection. 

Teacher Rachel: Part Time Assistant Teacher

Teacher Aliana is a part time assistant at PELC and has almost 8 years of experience working in childcare settings. She says she enjoys working with children because she enjoys how happy and carefree they can be, and she loves watching them grow! 

Teacher Claire is our lead jr. preschool teacher and a PELC staff trainer! She is currently studying elementary education (with a minor in special education), from the University of Idaho! She is a Moscow local, and has lived here since first grade. In the future, Claire would love to be a teacher in elementary school! 


A fun fact about Teacher Claire: She was a cheerleader for seven years!


"I have always enjoyed working with children. I like teaching them life skills and getting to know their individual personalities. Little do they know, they are also teaching me things every day!"

Kayla Davis graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Accounting in December of 2017. She has an abundance of classroom experience in all age groups working with Palouse Early Learning Center since it's opening in 2007. Kayla is now back at the U of I, part time, pursuing a second degree in Child Development. She is expected to graduate in May of 2025!


"Working with kids is the best decision I ever made! I love what I do, and am so grateful for their hugs, creativity, and smiling faces every day!!"


In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time doing things in the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, Cody, and their three dogs: Gus, Piper, and Marley.

Teacher Graciella is a student at the University of Idaho, double majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. She says she loves working with kids because she enjoys seeing them grow and learn new things everyday!


Fun fact about Graciella: She is from a very small town in Oregon that is most well known for whitewater river rafting! 

Teacher Kayla: Assistant Director, Lead PreK Teacher (4+ years)

Tami Stinebaugh has been the owner/director of Palouse Early Learning Center for more than 17 years. Tami has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and three additional years of training in early childhood development and special education.


“I love PELC because I was able to create a place for families to bring their children where they could feel good about their growth and development,” Tami said. “Helping children to build a strong foundation before entering school is so important to me!”


Tami has three children, ages 28, 24 and 13, and two English bulldogs, Mack and Mabel. She also has a passion for football, and loves cheering on the Oakland Raiders. 

Teacher Taylor: Part Time Assistant Teacher 

Teacher Abby is currently a freshman at the University of Idaho, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience working with children from infancy through age 10. Playing a role in helping them learn and grow is something she finds so rewarding! 


Fun fact about Abby: She was born and raised in a small city outside of Seattle, Washington!

Teacher Courtney: Lead Toddler Teacher (12 months - 2 years)

Teacher Cayenne has been a valued member of the PELC team since 2021, starting as a part time assistant and working her way up to full time lead teacher and staff trainer! She has many years of experience working with young children, and really has a gift for working with babies! 


"I love children and watching them learn. I love how creative and adventurous they are, I just want to help them learn about the world and figure out who they are as people." 

Teacher Sadie has many years of experience working with young children, from babysitting and nannying, to being a day camp counselor, to assistant teaching! She is currently studying construction engineering at Washington State University. 


"Watching children grow and hit new milestones is so rewarding. Every student is so unique and I love watching each of them develop their own personalities and bloom into amazing little people!"

Teacher Tami: Owner / Director

Teacher Taylor is a part time assistant teacher at PELC. She is majoring in early childhood education at the University of Idaho, and has an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts. In the past, she has worked at a developmental preschool and has many years of experience babysitting. She loves to crochet and to hang out with her golden retriever, Willow! 


"Working with kids can be challenging but I love how rewarding it is. Plus, it's so fun to watch them grow and accomplish things they couldn't before!"

Teacher Rachel is currently attending the University of Idaho, majoring in elementary education. She is a part time assistant teacher here at PELC, as well as a staff trainer. She is such a joy to be around, and is loved by all in the PELC community!


In her free time, she loves reading, baking, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her friends and family. She says she loves working with children because of how much joy they have, and she loves getting to interact and be a role model for them!

Teacher Courtney has her Associate's degree in general studies with an emphasis in music from NIC, and has since spent an additional three years studying music education and Jazz at the U of I. She currently performs with Chamber Jazz Choir at the University of Idaho! Courtney has proved to be a strong teacher of young children, and the staff, students, and families of PELC all love her!


Courtney loves spending her free time singing and playing the piano. She enjoys being active and doing things like swimming, dancing, tumbling, running, and rock climbing.
